A very warm welcome awaits you at l’escargot blanc. We serve truly great food with provenance and sustainability at its core, sourced from small-scale, traditional producers and suppliers from the length and breadth of Scotland. We personally know the people who catch, raise, grow and harvest every ingredient we cook with.
You will enjoy wild Scottish snails sourced from the Isle of Barra; delicious pure breed Dexter, Shorthorn and Highland Wagyu beef; chicken and cockerel from Linda Dick; and lamb from Grierson Organic. As well as delicious vegetables, salads and herbs grown by us with love and care at Newton Garden.
We have been included in The List Eating & Drinking Guide’s Hitlist, and the Michelin guide every year since opening. We’re also included in Peter Irvine’s Scotland the Best.
Our chef patron Fred Berkmiller was awarded 'Chef of the Year' at the CIS Excellence Awards 2019, named a 'Food Pioneer' at the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards 2016 and has won Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Award 2017 on Scottish Sourcing.
